Embassy Row Tour
Other Diplomatic Missions in Washington D.C.
In addition to embassies, Washington D.C. is home to other diplomatic missions. The Organization of American States (OAS) is headquartered in Washington, and the 35 member states have missions to support their participation.
As previously mentioned, a number of governments without ambassadors and embassies in the U.S. (i.e., governments with whom the U.S. has strained or tenuous diplomatic relations, such as Iran and Cuba) are represented by "interest sections" officially a part of another country's embassy.
