Visiting the Embassy Community

An annual Davis Memorial Goodwill Industries Embassy Tour formerly granted visitors access to several of the most exquisite chanceries and residences in Washington--the tour was held in May, each spring, when the outdoor scenery is in bloom (and before the notoriously hot and humid Washington D.C. summer). The annual tour was ended after the events of 9/11/01, given heightened security concerns.
